- 3905 Century Club Net
- (Frequency and times for the different nets are on tthe websight)
- Participation in the 3905 Century Club nets will give you the opportunity to earn many great awards like 'Worked All States' and 'DX awards'. It will also give you a chance to
establish friendships with a great group of hams from all over the United States and the world. Exchanging QSL cards is the lifeblood of our club. You earn awards by getting
QSL cards for the contacts you make on the net. Paper QSL or eQSL cards can be used for awards. If you use paper cards we have a very low cost way to exchange QSL
cards. Volunteers operate a QSL bureau for the club. This allows you to send all your cards to the bureau in one envelope reducing your postage cost. Other members do the
same and you will get your cards back in one envelope. This is a great help in keeping costs low for sending out cards to confirm contacts made on our nets. The information is
available on our web site at the link: http://3905ccn.com/buro-allnets.htm Our nets operate by the Net Controller taking a list of check-ins, then each person on the list is given
a chance to call anyone else on the list when it is their turn. The stations exchange signal reports and the NCS conforms the contact. This is why it is important to repeat the
signal report you receive. A valid signal report is anything from a 21 on the low side to a high of 59.
Example: AB1CD calls AB2EF
"this is AB1CD you are a 57"
"AB1CD this is AB2EF thank you for the 57 you are 59"
"AB2EF thank you for the 59"
That's all there is to it!
